Survivor Support Group

The SURVIVOR SUPPORT GROUP meets weekly to offer support through camaraderie, social interaction, and special activities for those recovering from moderate-to-severe brain injuries. Most participants in this group continue to require assistance at home. Meetings are held every Thursday evening from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM. This group is facilitated by Speech and Language Pathology students from Sacramento State University. This group is FREE, and you do not need to RSVP.

Making The Best of It (MTBI) Group

The MAKING THE BEST OF IT (MTBI) GROUP meets twice per month to offer support and education to brain injury survivors who continue to have mild difficulty in their day-to-day lives. All group participants are able to live or be at home independently. If you would like to attend, please call our information line at (916) 568-6660 for more information. We ask that all participants of this group be interviewed over the phone before attending. This group is FREE and is facilitated by a Neuropsychologist.

Caregiver Support Group

The CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP meets weekly to offer support, referrals, and information to those whose lives are impacted by caring for or knowing an individual with a brain injury. Meetings are held every Thursday evening from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM and are facilitated by a Social Worker. This group is FREE, and you do not need to RSVP.

Adult Children and Siblings of Survivors Support Group

Does your parent or sibling have a brain injury? Feel like no one else truly understands? We do! The ADULT CHILDREN AND SIBLINGS OF SURVIVORS SUPPORT GROUP meets every third Thursday of the month from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM for a time of conversation, sharing, and laughter, too. Adults and mature teens (we recommend ages 16 and up) are most welcome, and this group is facilitated by a Social Worker. Refreshments will be provided. This group is FREE, and you do not need to RSVP.
